Floor Plans
Floor plans are scale diagrams of a room or building viewed from above. The floor plan may depict an entire building, one floor of a building, or a single room. It may also include measurements, furniture, appliances, or anything else necessary to the purpose of the plan.
Floor plans are useful to help design furniture layout, wiring systems, and much more. They’re also a valuable tool for letting agents and landlords in helping sell or rent out a home.
Having a Floor plan in your property listing, whether it is being rented or sold, helps give a better understanding to the potential buyer or tenant of the layout of the home, so they can understand the function of the house. Not all house adverts have a floor layout plan and will be the part that sets it out above the rest.
It can also make the house seem larger, along with giving a better visualisation than standard pictures provide.
In a recent survey, 80% of property sellers said it is essential or very useful to have a floor plan when selling.

You can draw your own floor plan, but poorly drawn floor plans can have a negative impact when a viewing takes place as the buyer or tenant may be put off if it was not what they expected. This is why it can be beneficial to have someone with experience to complete your floor plan to make sure it is accurate to give a true reflection of the building and function.
