FIRE ALARM/EMERGENCY LIGHTING INSPECTION

Request Service Today

Do my fire alarm and emergency lighting systems need testing?

All HMOs/blocks of flats require periodic fire and emergency lighting inspection. This is to comply with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Systems must be serviced at regular intervals to ensure proper function.

Fire alarms are prone to issues such as collecting dirt, loss of battery life and other faults – our trained engineers will test the entire system to ensure everything is working correctly, including the control panel, batteries, heat detectors, smoke detectors, call points and sirens.

Emergency lights can fail or may not be adequately charged. In the event of a power cut they wont necessarily remain illuminated for a sufficient period of time without proper servicing.

How frequently should fire alarm systems be serviced?

Grade A systems (those with a fire panel, detectors and sounders) must be serviced every 6 months. Grade D systems (those with self contained alarms) must be serviced annually.

How frequently should emergency lighting systems be serviced?

Emergency lighting systems must be serviced annually, including performing a drain test to ensure lights operate for their full rated duration.
